Who am I?

Chris Maloret

Digital Developer | Creative Artworker | WordPress Developer

I’m a web developer and creative artworker based in Chichester, open to both development and artworking roles. I started out in artworking and graphic design, so tidy layouts, accuracy and visual consistency have always been part of how I work. That eye for detail now feeds straight into my development work too. I’ve worked across HTML emails, iPad apps, WordPress, landing pages and high‑volume artwork production. I’m good at taking unclear requirements and turning them into something clean, simple and easy to use — whether that’s a website or a set of production‑ready assets. I’m leaning more into development these days, but the artwork side is still very much active. I like making things that look good, work smoothly and feel effortless for the people using them.

Fictional Pharmaceutical Company Pie Chart eDetail Test

A quick mini project just to assess the use of AI when creating animation. It made the process much smoother by removing a lot of the usual trial and error that comes with custom CSS animations. I didn’t have to work through all the gradient maths, easing curves, or slice positioning by hand. Instead, I could try out different animation ideas in minutes instead of hours. This helped me turn the pie chart from a rough idea into a polished, responsive, centre-out animation much faster.
